This was my first job following completion of my Geography degree, I always had an interest in planning and saw the role advertised towards the end of my final year.
I enjoy the fact no two days in Planning are the same. Each planning application is different, testing your skills and knowledge in different ways. My Team within the Council are very supportive and are always around to help. The Council are also aiding me in completing my part time Masters in Spatial Planning at UCL. I work 4 days a week, with a dedicated day off for university. My Line Manager, University Tutor and myself work closely to monitor progression.
Being a planner allows me to shape the future and work in an area I am passionate about.
