Peer challenge of adult social care
To help prepare for the forthcoming Care Quality Commission (CQC) assurance framework, we invited the Local Government Association to undertake a peer challenge of adult social care in Central Bedfordshire, in November 2022.

After completing a review, the peer team produced a report of its findings, which was very positive and reflected the commitment and dedication of our staff and our achievements and reinforced that we have much to be proud of in adult social care services in Central Bedfordshire.
As well as identifying what is working well, the peer team also had some recommendations which will inform our wider assurance framework and support us in enhancing our already high performing adult social care services. Our initial action plan indicates our response to the recommendations, highlighting the work that is already underway and our future plans.
