Setting up a bank account for Ukrainian guests

Guests will need to set up a UK bank account. Some banks might ask you to show proof of ID such as a passport, biometric residency permit, driver’s licence or recognised identity card and proof of permanent address.

There are banks that offer free bank accounts with flexible requirements for Ukrainian refugees in the UK. Even with limited documentation, you may be able to have a bank account with IBAN, debit card, access to SEPA and a banking app. More information is available on the FiFi Finance website.

The Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest offer bank accounts for Ukrainian refugees. Other banks may also offer this service, so it is worth checking their websites.
