Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy (BESA) provides free, impartial, information advice and guidance to those aged 16+ looking to get into work, learning or exploring a change of career.
If you’re looking for a new job, a change of career, or you want to get back into learning, we offer a range of free support and courses to get you started. Our dedicated advisers can provide one to one or group support around:

- support with searching for learning opportunities
One-to-one appointments
Free face-to-face appointments are available in set locations across the county. Alternatively, Microsoft Teams or phone appointments can be scheduled. For more information or support from an adviser, use the online form below to register your interest in booking one-to-one support.
Employability workshops
Attend one of our employability workshops, designed to help you stand out to employers and ace your next job interview. Whether you're new to the job market or looking to develop your skills, these courses equip you with practical tools to master every stage of the interview process. Build confidence with:
- identifying skills within a job advert and effectively tailor your CV
- tailoring a covering letter for an application
- using the STAR method to answer interview questions
- identifying methods for researching a company prior to the interview
- practicing the importance of body language at an interview
