A to Z of recycling - Plastic film

Description

Plastic film, such as bread wrappers, the wrap-around toilet rolls, and the lids on fruit punnets or meat trays, is soft plastic and should not be recycled at home. Most supermarkets now have an in-store collection point to recycle soft and thin plastics, including plastic film.

If this is not an option for you, the plastic film should be placed in your black bin at home. Please do not put these in your dry recycling (green/orange lidded)  or garden waste bin.
Soft and thin plastic packaging should be removed from food and put in your black household waste bin before putting your food waste in your brown food waste caddy.
