Election results - EU Referendum result - 2016

In total 89,134 residents (56 per cent) voted to leave the EU, while 69,670 (44 per cent) voted to remain.

The turnout was 78 per cent. The total number of valid votes cast in Central Bedfordshire was 158,896, with 90 ballot papers rejected.

The result was announced by the Counting Officer for Central Bedfordshire, Richard Carr, shortly after 5am on Friday 24 June, 2016 at the Council's headquarters in Priory House, Chicksands.
