What the course covers

You will learn about the role of the early years practitioner and how early years settings operate.

You will also undertake practical activities to help you understand how different types of play support a child’s development. 

In addition, you will complete a voluntary placement in the nursery so that you can get some hands-on experience.

Who the course suitable for

Anyone wishing to begin a career in early years. No experience is needed.

How the course completed

You’ll attend 6, 2.5-hour taught sessions, fully participate in all activities, and complete your voluntary placement in the nursery for a minimum of 4 hours.

Entry requirements

You must be at least 19 years old, be able to attend all taught sessions and complete the voluntary placement.
