Make repairs to Friday Street, Leighton Buzzard by fixing the broken bollards and potholes, repainting the lines and generally raising the condition of the street.

Where the Council is the freeholder for the land it should put pressure on the leaseholder to make good the area. It should also ask other freeholders to co-operate in bringing about repairs.

Friday Street near Waitrose and Waterborne Walk in Leighton Buzzard is a key shopping venue with a court of local shops and access to the shopping centre. It is in an appalling condition and has been for over 12 months with enormous potholes, broken bollards and a general lack of disrepair blighting the shopping experience and appearance of the town.

These issues have been reported to Central Bedfordshire Council for over a year and apart from a few temporary potholes repairs that failed 6 months ago, not much has happened.
