This interactive 3-hour workshop offers a practical introduction to working within early years settings. It's designed for individuals who are considering a pathway into the early years sector, whether exploring a new career, returning to the workforce, or seeking a volunteering opportunity. 

Participants will gain insight into the role of early years practitioners. Key topics include safeguarding and confidentiality, child development, and the significance of play-based learning in supporting children’s wellbeing. 

The workshop also highlights the benefits of volunteering in early years and considers progression routes into further training or employment in early years settings.

Interactive activities and real-life examples will help participants understand how early years staff make a meaningful impact. 

By the end of the session, participants will be more informed about the early years role and feel encouraged to explore further training, placements, or employment opportunities in the sector.
