e-petitions - Finding a site for allotments for Langford

Langford village has no allotments and the Parish Council has no suitable land that we could use. The Parish Council are aware of this request and re supporting it.

There is a lot of interest in the village for allotments. Many of the residents have their names on waiting lists for allotments in other villages but vacancies come up rarely.

We need a suitable plot of land that is accessible and has water.

We request that Central Beds Council assist us in finding a suitable site for allotments as it states on your website that you have a statutory requirement to help us.

In the current climate many people are now interested in growing their own vegetables.

I understand that there were previously allotments in Langford but these have been built on because there was not enough interest at the time. Now that the village is so much bigger and people worry about access to fresh fruit and veg, there is now a real need for allotments in the village.
