Ground coffee or coffee bean pouches or bags cannot be recycled at home and should be placed in your black household waste bin.
Alternatively, all brands of flexible coffee packaging are accepted through Terracycle’s recycling scheme. Terracycle is an external company, not affiliated with the Council, that collects items from dedicated recycling points. To find your nearest collection point, please visit the Terracycle website. Some supermarkets may accept coffee pouches at their soft plastics collection points.
Coffee grounds and coffee beans should be put in your brown food waste recycling bin.
