Pedestrians should not be put at risk, and road users should not be inconvenienced to support Network Rail's poor practices.
Re-open the crossing to road users, until Network Rail can provide an adequate service. This might include providing a crossing supervisor for trains or fixing the problem.
Supporting details
More people use the road crossing than the rail crossing. If the signals are failing then pedestrians are at an unacceptable risk. The increased drive time and reduced access to both towns have already persisted for too long.
The rail service could be maintained using a human crossing operator, or a bus transfer between Lidlington and Millbrook. - Start date
