Countryside sites - Centenary Wood

Name

Centenary Wood

Overview

This developing woodland was planted in 1985 to commemorate 100 years of Bedfordshire County Council. A variety of different trees were planted, including osiers and Norway maple, which are very colourful in autumn. Some areas are coppiced and other trees are managed as standards. A great place for a walk with plenty of paths to explore the wood. Paths are gently sloping.
