We apologise for the inconvenience caused with problems you have experienced in viewing planning documents to online. We have been working with our supplier and system changes have been implemented to improve the situation.
As a result of these problems any planning applications consulted on between 25 January and 10 February 2017 have been allocated an extra 10 days for comments to be made.
We are still experiencing some issues as a result of the migrated data and would be grateful if you come across any examples where you are unable to view or download documents you advise us by email to firstname.lastname@example.org giving details of the planning application number.

How to comment on planning applications
When a planning application is in the consultation period, it is open for comment.
All comments on planning applications are taken into account. We may not always be able to make a decision which supports your comments, but we will always take note of them.
You can search online for a planning application, and view details of planning applications being considered.

You can view details of applications and related documentation such as application forms, site plans, drawings, decision notices and other supporting documents for planning applications.
This information is updated daily.
Some of our files are either still in paper format or have previously been transferred onto microfiche. If you cannot find the information you require please telephone 0300 300 8307 and arrangements can be made for you to view the information at one of our offices.
You can also comment on major developments. We define a major application as any of the following:
- a residential development of 10 or more houses
- a residential development on a site of at least 0.5 hectares
- creation or change of use of a commercial development, where the floorspace exceeds 1,000 square metres or where the site area is 1.0 hectares or more in size
