Central Bedfordshire Council proposes to expand Edward Peake C of E VC Middle School by two forms of entry (60 places) per year group from 1 September 2020. This would increase the capacity of the school from 600 to 840 places.

Approve Premises Public Notice - Mitchell Hall
The Marriage Act 1994 and the Civil Partnership Act 2004 makes provision for proceedings to take place at any Register Office or building approved under the terms of these Acts which has been granted an Approval by Central Bedfordshire Council.
A building seeking an Approval should be permanent and provide a dignified and seemly location for the celebration of a civil marriage or civil partnership registration.

Gambling policy - Statement of Principles
On 17 December 2018, Central Bedfordshire Council published its revised Licensing Policy / Statement of Principles (PDF 633.7KB) issued under Section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005.
The Statement of Principles will have effect from 31 January 2019.

Hackney carriage and private vehicle hire fees
Central Bedfordshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 has agreed to vary the fees charged for the licensing of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles, Operators and Drivers with effect from 2 January 2019.

Notice is hereby given that an election petition has been presented by Mr Timothy Scott Ireland (“the Petitioner”) to the Prescribed Officer at the High Court of Justice.
The Petitioner claims to have had a right to be elected or returned at the Parliamentary Election for the Mid Bedfordshire Constituency on the 7th day of May 2015 and that it may be determined that the election of Nadine Vanessa Dorries was void on the ground of illegal practices.
