Emergency Information - Assistance Centres
If there are any current emergencies, we will update this section with the latest information and the locations of any Assistance Centres that have been set-up.
An Assistance Centre can be set-up in an emergency to offer those affected a one-stop shop for shelter, information and help. It is a physical point of focus for people affected by an emergency during response and recovery.
In an emergency within Central Bedfordshire, the council will coordinate the set-up of Assistance Centres using our emergency volunteers from the emergency partnership known as BLEVEC (link opens in new window).
To find out more about Assistance Centres visit the Bedfordshire Local Resilience Forum (link opens in new window) website.
