Future of Sandye Place Academy site agreed

Central Bedfordshire Council agreed the future of the former Sandye Place Academy site in Sandy, marking an important milestone in bringing the much-valued site back into active use for the benefit of residents. The former academy site has been vacant since 2019 and currently costs around £100,000 a year to secure and maintain. The Council's agreed approach provides a clear pathway towards a sustainable future for the site, reducing ongoing costs while delivering facilities and opportunities that will benefit the Sandy community for generations to come.
