What are the advantages for prospective tenants?

When selecting a property that belongs to the accreditation scheme the tenant will know that:

  • the property meets our quality standards
  • they will have a clear tenancy agreement and a copy of all agreements
  • all repairs are completed quickly and efficiently within identified timescales
  • there is a fair approach to dealing with complaints and resolving disputes

When a property has reached the required standard, it will become accredited. After the initial inspection, a proportion of properties will be inspected each year so that all properties are inspected at least once every 3 years. This will ensure that the required standards are maintained.
