About the register
The children with disabilities register is an information database which is designed to hold the contact details of disabled children and young people under the age of 18 in Central Bedfordshire.
By registering, families can be kept regularly up to date on all the services and support in Central Bedfordshire. The register is used for statistical information and also helps to keep families involved in development of new services and the consultation process.
Registering your child does not give an automatic entitlement to services. The Children Act 1989 requires all social services departments to keep a register of children with disabilities to help with planning and monitoring of services.
