NJC Scale Points 3 – 5 (£13.28 – £13.70 per hour)

  • 22.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days
  • 08.30 – 13.00, Monday to Friday

About this job

We are looking to appoint an experienced clerical assistant to join our busy school office. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher, the School Business Manager and the School Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the school is supported by efficient and effective administration.

The post holder will carry out a range of administrative duties, including:

  • dealing with telephone and face-to-face enquiries
  • maintaining a range of computerised and manual record systems
  • managing online payments from parents for school visits, extra-curricular activities and school dinners
  • managing the arrangements for school visits and parents’ evenings
  • school website administration
  • willingness to be First Aid trained
  • using a range of IT packages and systems

Previous experience of working in a school office and a good knowledge of SIMS and Excel is preferable for this role. The successful candidate needs to be a team player, an excellent communicator, have strong ICT skills and good attention to detail.
