The parish boundary adjoins the neighbouring parishes of Billington, Eggington, Heath and Reach and Stanbridge. As can be seen from the tables above, except for Barnabas Ward in 2023, there have been contested elections across all the wards since the creation of Central Bedfordshire.
Statutory changes since the 2017/18 review
The Central Bedfordshire (Electoral Changes) Order 2021 created a new parish ward (Bassett Ward with 1 councillor) and amended the number of councillors for the parish wards within Leighton-Linslade parish (Planets Ward from 2 to 3, Plantation Ward from 3 to 2, and Southcott Ward from 4 to 3).
