There are so many great places to visit around Bedfordshire – but did you know that you can get to many of them by bus?
Working with our partners at Luton and Bedford Borough councils, we are once again running the Days Out By Bus campaign this summer.
We’ve produced a guide (PDF) to some of the many brilliant places to visit around the area, along with a corresponding local map (PDF). From zoos and farms to historic houses and museums, the guide includes details of how to get to each destination by bus. For those who enjoy exploring on foot, it also features countryside walks and country parks. We’ve even negotiated special discounts at some attractions for visitors arriving by bus.
Printed copies are available at many attractions, libraries and council offices around Bedfordshire.
Please note that some bus stop locations listed in the leaflet may not be suitable for access by young children, people with limited mobility, pushchairs and wheelchairs.
For further accessibility guidance, AccessAble (formerly DisabledGo) is an online tool for accessibility information, surveying venues across the country. Please note, information on some of the venues in the Days Out By Bus leaflet may not be on AccessAble, but you will find information about a wide range of locations in Central Bedfordshire.
