Your child will be added to the waiting list: for community and VC schools this will be until the end of the academic year for the Year group you have applied for. For academies, foundation and voluntary-aided schools, please check the school's admission arrangements or contact the school/academy. You will need to re-apply from May to be placed on the school's waiting list for the new academic year (if applicable) if you have not already applied for the new year group.
Waiting lists are prioritised according to the oversubscription criteria for the school, not in the date order of when the application was received.
You will have the right to appeal
If you live in Central Bedfordshire and do not currently have a school place in the local area, we will offer a place at the next nearest school with places available.
If you wish to appeal, you must submit the appeal as soon as possible.
You have the right to appeal if you haven't been offered a place at your preferred school(s).
The Education Appeals Team manages appeals independently from the School Admissions Team.
