Standard Method - 22 July 2026
On 22 July 2026, the strategic policies within the Central Bedfordshire Local Plan will be five years old. From this date, our five-year supply of deliverable housing sites must be assessed against its local housing need as calculated using the Government's revised Standard Method rather than the adopted Local Plan housing need.
An addendum to the April 2026 Five-Year Housing Land Supply Statement has been produced to indicate our revised position once the Standard Method has been applied. Following the application of the Standard Method, we can demonstrate 3.93 years of supply.
