In March 2025, we wrote to all parent governors of schools we maintain, seeking nominations for 2 parent governor representative posts on the Children’s Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
On Thursday, 15 May, Councillor Kevin Collins was appointed as Chair of Central Bedfordshire Council and Councillor Vicky Malone has been appointed as Vice Chair.
Using buses in Central Bedfordshire remains highly affordable for young people as the £1 maximum single fare for anyone aged 18 and under, introduced in 2024, will continue for the foreseeable future.
