Central Bedfordshire Council libraries are inviting children to take part in the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, Read to the Beat, launching on Friday 17 July until Saturday 5 September 2026.

Biggleswade Library will close temporarily from Tuesday 13 January 2026 to allow essential maintenance works to repair internal water damage caused by an issue with the external drainage.
We will temporarily pause garden waste collections for 12 weeks this winter, from Monday, 1 December 2025 to Friday, 20 February 2026. Collections will resume on Monday, 23 February 2026.

Stotfold Library is gearing up for a move to its new home in Oak Hall in the Greenacre Centre, Stotfold and is set to open at 2pm on Wednesday 11 June.
