Councillor Kevin Collins has been re-elected as Chair of Central Bedfordshire Council at the Full Council’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday 14 May.

At a meeting on Tuesday 5 August, Central Bedfordshire Council’s Executive decided how it would allocate funding from the Household Support Fund (HSF).

Councillors agreed last night (Thursday, 18 April 2024) at the meeting of the Full Council to reduce the allowances for councillors in order to contribute to savings being made by the Council.

At a meeting held on Tuesday (9 April), our Executive made a decision about how to allocate almost £1.5million of government funding to support local families.

Later this month, we are introducing a new Overview and Scrutiny SEND sub-committee to focus more time on SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) issues.

This will provide more transparency, and ensure the voices of local families help shape future improvements to the service.
