Our newly-appointed Executive Member for Children and Families and Deputy Executive Member have issued a joint update following their first week in post.
We're inviting residents to take part in the second stage of our Community Governance Review, which looks at how local communities are represented through town and parish councils.
We will temporarily pause garden waste collections for 12 weeks this winter, from Monday, 1 December 2025 to Friday, 20 February 2026. Collections will resume on Monday, 23 February 2026.
In March 2025, we wrote to all parent governors of schools we maintain, seeking nominations for 2 parent governor representative posts on the Children’s Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
On Thursday, 15 May, Councillor Kevin Collins was appointed as Chair of Central Bedfordshire Council and Councillor Vicky Malone has been appointed as Vice Chair.
