In March 2026, the government published the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026. These introduce a new plan-making system.

At a meeting on 1 April, Members of our Executive will be asked to approve plans to consult on a proposed change to the Council’s Home to School Transport policy for students aged 5 to 16.
Work has begun on a new sports hall and multi-use games area (MUGA) at Edward Peake CofE School, which will enhance physical education opportunities for students.
A new Additional Resource Provision (ARP) will open at Stratton School in January to support autistic children and enhance local access to specialist education.
