The majority of Central Bedfordshire families applying for a school place this year have received good news, with 9 in 10 children offered a place at their first preference primary school.
A Central Bedfordshire Council employee has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to social work with an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Bedfordshire.
Applications are now open for children and young people who are due to start school, or transfer to middle, secondary or upper school in September 2024.
It was day of connections, conversations and cake for the volunteers of Central Bedfordshire at a celebration event held at The Rufus Centre, Flitwick on Wednesday 7 June.
