Employability course
During this course my mindset changed, and I became more optimistic. Sessions were relaxed and welcoming. They opened-up new ways of thinking. I now feel better equipped to look for and apply for work.
Wellbeing course
I attended the YOU Programme and YOUR Recovery Pathways and was determined to improve my wellbeing and my job prospects. The honesty from the team about their own experience of mental ill health really helped. I have now moved forwards with learning, gained a sector-based qualification and started work.
Maths course
I wasn’t confident with maths and was anxious about returning to learning but wanted to build skills to support my children with homework and to help me move on in my job. I achieved level 1 then level 2 maths qualifications. I am now working towards a level 3 childcare course that will help me progress at work.
Work skills course
This course gave me practical skills for supporting children in the classroom and the confidence to apply for a school job. The course gave me the skills, knowledge, advice and guidance for me to apply for and successfully gain work in a school.”
Employability course
The team supported me to find a part time job which gave me a work-related reference I could use with confidence. Within a month of completing the course I successfully gained interviews and received a job offer.
