Careers in Adult Social Care

Reablement careers

Our vision

Our vision is to be there for you. We will recognise you as an individual personality with your own uniqueness, character and life experiences. We will give you your freedom to walk your own journey.

However, you say it, we will listen. Our aim is for our customers to only have to tell their story once; one time, one story, one journey. Pushing boundaries and breaking down barriers to enrich their lives. We will be there for you, to promote and celebrate your continued successes.

Work in reablement

Working in reablement is far from your everyday care role. Our workers are the unsung heroes of the social sector, giving people aged 18 and over the motivation, opportunity and confidence to regain the skills they may have lost as a result of poor health or injury.

If you want to become a force for change, a promoter of growth and just make a difference in someone’s life, working in our reablement team might just be right for you.

What can you expect on the job?

No two days are the same and every day you’ll be watching someone grow to become the person they once were. As part of your role, you’ll be meeting with a variety of customers, travelling around the local villages and towns of Central Bedfordshire, and making your mark in the community.

Everyone’s needs will differ, but you’ll benefit from an excellent support network, with plenty of opportunities for further training and development.

Why work with us?

  • overtime is often available
  • mileage will be paid at 45p per mile and you will be eligible for a lump sum payment if your mileage exceeds 3,000 miles per annum
  • a uniform will be provided
  • you will be paid to attend training
  • you will be supported to achieve NVQ qualifications, if you would like to study
  • entitlement to paid holiday at 24 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)

Start a career, not a job

Sticking with our vision, we want to watch you grow. Taking a position with us, is far more than a job, it’s a stepping stone into a career and we’ll be there for you every step of the way.

What do I need to get started?

While an NVQ is desirable, experience of caring for people is more important and we can help you work towards a qualification – so as you’re helping others, you’ll also be getting qualified.
