Opportunities and how to tender
Finding tender opportunities
We have a separate website for the electronic tendering process. You can register your details, view any current tenders and express an interest on our suppliers website.
Provision of Fostering Placements
Bedford Borough Council, Central Bedfordshire Council and Luton Borough Council wish to receive applications to join our collaborative Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) placements and Specialist Placements as an Alternative to Residential Care (SPARC).
Full details about this tender are available in the Provision of Fostering Placements advert. (PDF 123.4KB)
Visit Bedford Borough Council's Intend system to access the portal and tender information. Please note that this tendering process will take place via Bedford Borough Council’s tendering portal only and is not available through our tendering portal.
To express an interest, please log in or register on our electronic tendering system in order to view the necessary tendering documents and respond accordingly.
Please note, that once you have registered on In-tend a separate action (expressing an Interest) is required to access the documents, you must click on the actual Tender you wish to access. We accept no liability if you have not expressed an interest in the tender.
Sign up for procurement email alerts
We can also email you with the latest opportunities as soon as they are released. You can sign up to receive alerts for any new tenders we advertise.
We do not have a preferred supplier list.
Requirements for goods, supplies and services worth over £60k are either advertised here and on Contracts Finder or are sourced from EU compliant framework agreements. Requirements over the EU threshold values are advertised first in the Official Journal of the European Union. Quotes are sought for requirements below £60k. We do not use approved lists of suppliers. If you wish to let us know the goods you provide or services you undertake, you can do this by:
- contacting the relevant service area for your goods/services
- registering on our suppliers portal
Please note that due to the potential number of suppliers in the market this will not guarantee that you are included on requests for quotations.
How to tender
If you wish to tender for a particular contract, you should refer to the instructions set out in the individual quotation and tender documents.
Please do not send unsolicited marketing material. We don’t consider this when conducting competitive procurement exercises.
