Brewers Hill Road, Dunstable - road closure: Monday, 6 April to Friday, 1 May
Brewers Hill Road, Dunstable from the High Street to the first roundabout will be closed in both directions, 24 hours a day from Monday, 6 April to Friday, 1 May.
This is to enable utility works to take place, including:
- work on sewers
- gas services
The traffic lights on the crossroads will be reduced to three way under temporary control.
HGVs - weight limit
We are revoking the weight limit through:
- Brewers Hill Road
- Drovers Way
- West Street
- High Street North
This allows HGVs to use the diversion.
Time saving approach
We appreciate that this closure will cause congestion to the area. But, taking this approach means we save approximately 12 weeks of temporary traffic lights. Two of the four weeks are within the Easter holidays which will help with a lower level of traffic.
All emergency services, including Dunstable Fire Station are aware of this. During this time emergency access through the site will not be possible.
Access to Incuba and overflow car park
Incuba will have access from the Creasey Park direction, as will the Central Bedfordshire Council overflow car park.
