Make a planning application online using the Planning Portal
Most planning applications are submitted online using the Planning Portal which is an application submission portal owned by a company called Terraquest. Our planning team is unable to assist with any help or queries relating to submitting your application using this portal.
Apply online using the Planning Portal (fee applies)
You can complete your application form, buy site location plans, upload supporting documents and pay fees online.
The Planning Portal charges a £25 administration fee for using its service.
The Planning Portal will not submit your application to us until it has received the correct payment (including the administration fee).
We are unable to progress your application until all the necessary information and the appropriate fee has been received.

Plans and maps
Please submit all documents in PDF format.
The most common reason for planning applications being rejected is that the accompanying plans are invalid. Most planning applications require a location plan and a site plan (also known as a block plan) to be submitted as supporting documents.
You can obtain plans from one of the Planning Portal's accredited suppliers. The Planning Portal team has been through a rigorous selection process to ensure that its maps meet the necessary standards, that its websites are easy to use, and that it has good customer support in place, should you need it. All of this means you are one step closer to submitting a valid application.
