Community buildings and village halls are widely recognised as vital components of community and social infrastructure.
Strategically located, multi-purpose, well-run and sustainable community buildings are a vital asset to existing and new communities.
They are venues for a range of community and leisure activities where local people can come together to organise and participate in social activities which help to build community spirit and local resilience.
Importantly, they provide opportunities for access to local service delivery for example leisure, health and social care as well as other volunteer-led preventative activities such as health walks.
