Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy is running free, 3-hour workshops across Bedfordshire to give anyone considering a career in education the opportunity to find out more about the role of a teaching assistant.
During the workshop, you’ll cover:
- the day-to-day responsibilities of a teaching assistant
- the different roles within a school and how support staff contribute to a positive learning environment
- key concepts including safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional conduct
- the value of volunteering as a pathway into education
- progression routes and career opportunities within the sector
