Let’s be Flood Ready Together
We’re hosting free community drop in events between 13th-18th October, these will take place across Central Bedfordshire. Residents can get practical advice from The National Flood Forum, see local flood maps with advice from the Environment Agency and pick up free resources to help you prepare in the event of flooding. We'll also be joined by other useful partners so we are all Flood Ready Together.
Flooding doesn’t just come from rivers. It can happen after heavy rain, from drains or sewers, or a mix of all of these. The impact is the same, if you’re not ready. But small actions now – like checking your own flood risk, putting practical measures into place, signing up for free Environment Agency alerts and making a simple household plan – can make a big difference when it matters most.
