High Street Rental Auctions 2025 consultation results

From 1 September 2025 to 23 November 2025, local residents, town and parish councils, businesses and other stakeholders were encouraged to comment on the proposals for areas where High Street Rental Auction powers might be applied.

The Executive Committee considered the findings and made a decision regarding the areas for potential use (PDF) of High Street Rental Auction powers on 17 February 2026.

Qualifying vacant units within the areas will be approved by the Director of Place & Communities, after consultation with the Executive Member for Assets, Business & Housing.
