Survey closed: Wednesday 31 May 2023
Survey opened: Wednesday 5 April 2023
We asked people to share their experiences of domestic abuse through a short survey.
Domestic abuse can happen to anyone and can take many forms. That’s why we're asking as many people as possible to complete the survey. The feedback will help us think about how to improve services.
The government defines domestic abuse as any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are, or have been, intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality.
The abuse can encompass, but is not limited to:
- psychological
- physical
- sexual
- financial
- emotional
The survey was completely anonymous.
We wanted your views if you are:
- aged 16 or over, have experienced domestic abuse or know someone that has
- concerned about your behaviour towards your partner
