Youth Support Service
Our Youth Support Service provides services for young people aged 13 to 19 years old (up to 25 for young people with special needs). The service manages the delivery of a comprehensive ‘youth offer’ which includes the provision of information, advice and careers guidance to support access to education, employment or training opportunities and the provision of youth work and positive activities.
Personal Guidance Advisers (LDD)
Our Youth Support service provides direct support to young people with additional needs, through its personal guidance advisers.
SEN personal advisers are dedicated to working with young people aged 13 to 25 years whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan, are looked after or care leavers or are known to youth offending services.
They offer impartial information, advice and guidance around education and careers and support planning for transition, helping young people overcome barriers and make a successful transition to adulthood.
SEN personal advisers will make contact with young people whilst they are statutory school age, usually during year 9. Young people can also self-refer.
Personal Guidance Advisors (Youth Support Service)
Personal Guidance Advisors in our Youth Support Service provides support for young people who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET, 16 to 19 years old and up to 25 where they have an EHC plan or are care leavers. This support is delivered by qualified careers advisers who will provide information, advice and guidance and support to them to overcome barriers to access education employment or training. Support will includes careers advice, CV writing, job searching advice and interview skills.

Our youth workers support young people to have a voice and make a difference in their local community by empowering them through different Youth Voice mechanisms.
These include: Children and Young People's Board, Young Inspectors, Youth Parliament, Young Commissioners and Youth Audit Team.
