Foster Care Fortnight is The Fostering Network’s annual campaign to help promote the need for more foster carers across the UK and here in Central Bedfordshire, we are proud to support the campaign.
When you think of fostering, what do you think are the most important qualities for a foster carer or a foster family? Good cook? A big house? Actually, it’s much simpler than that, children in foster care want foster carers and families who help them to feel safe and secure, support and help them and most important of all care about them as an individual.
This Foster Care Fortnight we want to encourage anyone considering fostering to get in touch and find out more. You could be that special someone to change the future of a child in need.
Stacey and her family absolutely love fostering and being part of children’s lives. It’s not only transformed the future of the children they care for but has also changed their own. They feel it’s the best decision they’ve ever made!
