The service is designed to provide reassurance, companionship, safety monitoring, and general wellbeing support while enabling unpaid family members and informal carers to take planned breaks, attend appointments, fulfil personal commitments, or rest with confidence that their loved one is safe and supported.
Our trained care staff provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's assessed needs, which may include companionship, supervision, emotional support, assistance with maintaining routines, prompting with hydration and nutrition, medication reminders where appropriate, support with mobility within the home, and monitoring for any changes in wellbeing that may require further action. Where agreed within the individual's care plan, staff may also assist with community outings or accompanying individuals to appointments during the sitting period.
Our Sitting Service promotes independence, dignity, safety, choice, and wellbeing while reducing social isolation and supporting carers to maintain their own health and wellbeing.
