About the service
Age UK Bedfordshire can provide short term respite to unpaid carers who care for anyone aged 50 or over.
The service gives unpaid carers the opportunity of being able to leave the person they care for in the safe hands of one of our trained and trusted “sitters”.
Our sitters can do far more than simply sit with the person you care for. We can play board games, build puzzles, read, listen to music or perhaps share the enjoyment of watching a favourite TV programme. If you prefer, we can simply watch over them.
