Old St Mary's is a ruined church in Clophill that is both Grade II listed and a scheduled ancient monument. It is owned by us and on a long-term lease to the Clophill Heritage Trust.
The trust restored this wonderful building for visitors to enjoy by consolidating the structure and creating a viewing platform within the tower.
The adjacent ECO Lodges provide accommodation for walkers on the Greensand Ridge and a communal area where information relating to the history, architecture, and archaeology of the church will be available, as well as facts on local flora, fauna, history, walks, and other locations of interest in the area. A full time, on-site warden assists visitors and provides 24 hour security.
