Name

Aspley Woods

Overview

This 324 hectare woodland is owned by Bedford Estates and managed by the Greensand Trust. There is a network of permissive paths through the woods with cycling and horse riding allowed with a valid permit and suitable safety equipment.

The wood is a mixture of conifer woodland with some areas of semi-ancient woodland and heathland. It offers fantastic views of Woburn Abbey and even Milton Keynes, and contains the scheduled ancient monument Danesborough Hill, and the Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) Wavendon Ponds.
