Reason for closure
The temporary closure is required as maintenance and repair works need to be carried out on a bailey bridge (associated with Willington Lock Quarry) that passes over part of the footpath.
Closure ends
The start date for the works has not been confirmed but the closure will only be in force whilst the works take place. The closure is expected to take place for two days but the order could be in operation for up to 6 months.
