Full details of the e-petition
Install parking restrictions (yellow lines) on Stanbridge Road on the curve in front of the village green and Anchor public house. On north side of the road the parking restrictions should be limited to 1200-2100 on weekends and bank holidays only and on the south side there should be double yellow lines.
Supporting details
At weekends customers to the Anchor pub park indiscriminately on both sides of Stanbridge Road and on the green verges or footpaths. The road curve at this point has limited forward visibility and is a designated bus route. With cars parked on both sides it is dangerous for oncoming traffic and difficult to pass each other safely. Cars parking on Brickhill, north of the green, and Bury Rise obstruct the highway and the width available is often insufficient to allow fire engines or ambulances up the road, should that be necessary.
