Resurface the High Street in Stotfold and repair pot holes in Hitchin Road that are a danger to both vehicles and cyclists.

Resurfacing of the High Street has been on the schedule of works for several years but as yet has not been completed. It was due to be resurfaced at the same time as Baldock Road. The High Street surface is disintegrating with cables showing in some areas and only temporary repairs have been attempted and often fail within weeks. The High Street and Hitchin Road are two of the main throughfares in the town and are dangerous for both vehicles and cyclists. During a request for residents to log fixmystreet cases the High Street and and Hitchin Road were amongst the most reported, even though there are many other areas of concern. It is requested that CBC Highways take action to resurface the High Street and repair Hitchin Road as soon as possible to provide some relief for the residents of Stotfold.
