    • the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post at the school for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage
  • children who have siblings currently at The Houstone School
  • children who attend the Trust’s feeder primary schools 
  • shortest Distance

  • all 'looked after' children or children who were previously 'looked after', including children who appear to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted (see definition below)
  • priority will next be given to the siblings of pupils attending the school at the time the application is received
  • priority will next be given to the children of staff who have been recruited to fill a skill-shortage area

Children who appear to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.

A child is regarded as having been in state care in a place outside of England if they were accommodated by a public authority, a religious organisation or any other provider of care whose sole purpose if to benefit society.
